Since the lines at our election office were nice and short, we risked the possible public meltdown and brought BabyGirl with us to vote. I am so glad we did!

Eliana was perfectly behaved in the shhhh-quiet voting room. She watched all the people coming and going, and more than once waved her hand enthusiastically with a big smile and said hi-eeeeyyyy.

I love that she was present for this historic event.

Last night Gary and I stayed up late to watch the election results. Several times we were moved to tears.  The emotion of the crowds, McCain's concession speech, and Obama's acceptance speech were deeply moving.

I will be honored to call Barack Obama my president.

Yay for America!
